DUPLICATION OF THE MAIN TRUNK RAILWAY LINE BETWEEN AUCKLAND AND I ; RANKTON Good progress is being made with the duplication of the line betwsen Papakura and Horotiu. When this section is completed Auckland and Frankton will be connected by a double set of rails, which will greatly facilitate the running of trains to time-table. This photograph shows plate-laying operations in progress on the now track at Horotiu.
