THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE TARANAKI OILS WEAKER A sharp drop in G. J. Coles and a further easing in Taranaki Oils were • features of the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Business continued active and dealing covered a wide range. Government loans sold well and there Was good support for local body debentures. In the banking section New Zealnnds gold at late rates. New South Wales moved up 5s to the high level of £36 15s where holders withdrew. Commercials of Australia, preference, also were firm. Insurances were quiet. Following the announcement of a reduced dividend, buyers of G. J. Coles came in at £5 Is. A sale was put through -7s cheaper at £5 2s, with more available. Taranaki Oils again weakened, dropping back Is 3d to 3s. There was a sligiit reaction in Dunlop-Perdriaus. Electrolytic Zincs were a shade firmer. After a reduction in limits by buyers of Broken Hill Proprietary, they withdrew offers. .Most of the Australian issues ' were steady. Dominion shares again were quiet", the only price alteration being a decline in Woolworths (N.Z.).
