Fjnch, to-day, the Whangarei County Council decided to adopt tho Building Committee's recommendation that the plans and specifications for the council's new chambers, to be erected in Rose Street, should be approved.. An early start will be made with the work, which is estimated to cost £SOOO. Upon its completion the Post and Telegraph Department will take over the present premises, which adjoin the post office.
