FAREWELL GIFT
CANADIAN COMMISSIONER In appreciation of the excellent service and unfailing courtesy rendered by the retiring Canadian Trade Commissioner, Mr. C. M. Croft, a presentation of two pieces of unusual Maori carving was made to him by members of the Canadian British Traders' Association of New Zealand at a gathering at the Grand Hotel this week. Members expressed regret at the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Croft, and extended good wishes for the future. Mr. and JI«- B Croft will leave this week for Canada where Mr. Croft has been transferred.
