fisherman drowned COMPANION REACHES SHORE ACCIDENT OFF THAMES COAST [bt telegraph—own correspondent] THAMES, Sunday While fishing off the Thames coast at Wood's Bay at about 4 p.m. to-day, Mr. Kenneth Peckham, aged 22, fisherman. was drowned. He was the youngest son of Mrs. R. Peckham, of Tararu, Thames. Mr. Peckham's dinghy was found swamped in the centre of some nets. His companion, Mr. Leonard William Mitchell, succeeded in reaching the shore and communicated with the police. A search was made, but Mr. Peckham's body was not found. Dragging will be continued to-morrow.
