TOURNAMENT AT TUAKAU A very successful tourney was held by the Tuakau Bowling Club, a number of visiting rinks competing. The results were:— Section A.—W. Smead. I wins; McC'owan. Ryburn, 3 wins; Hobb, Moncrief, Dares. 2 wins; Carter, 1 win. Section B.—Cook, Jnmieson, Short. 4 wins; 'Cooper, 3 wins; C. Smead, 2 wins; Pirret. 1 win; Sherson, no wins. In the section lies. Short beat Jamiesor. •nd Cook Short also won tho final by defeating W. Smead. AVONDALE TOURNAMENT The section winners in a pairs tourney held "by the Avondale Bowling Club were as follows:—Section A, Crawshaw, Smith (St. Heliera); section B, B. Tomlinson, .7. Tomlinson (Avondale). Tho final will be played at a later date. QUEENSLAND TOURISTS [from our own correspondent! HAMILTON, Thursday Rain which fell all day in Hamilton provented plav between representatives of the South Auckland Bowline: Centre and the touring Queensland bowlers this afternoon. The tourists paid a visit to the Hamilton Bowling Club's green. where games were to lave been played. They were welcomed by Mr- J. T. North on behalf of the South Auckland Centre and Mr. H. D. Cam, deputy-mayor of Hamilton. Mr. Colin Campbell replied. Afternoon tea was served and tourists then visited the Waitonio Caves.
