NEW YEAR POSTCARDS

POPULARITY IN JAPAN TOEIIO, Jan. 1 New Year postcards created a new record for the Japanese Post Office this year. The Communications Ministry reports that in the last 10 days 626,000.000 cards passed through the post offices of the country. This is au increase of 64,000.000 over last year. It is expected that the total number will exceed 820,000,000.
