Whitford.—The December meeting took the form of a Christmas party. Games and competitions were played ai >d gifts exchanged. A stall of basketJare from the Institute for the Blind good business. Two nniv members *®re enrolled. During the afternoon tea joe president, Mrs. Gordon Wiles, cut the Christmas cake. The hostesses' were Mesdames White, Wiles, N. Wade and G- Wade. . Pongakatva Valley.—The last meetln2 of the rear took place recently. The r °H call, "What can I do to improve m y institute," broght forth interesting answers. The Christmas hamper, donated by members, was won by Mrs. HayA competition was won by Mrs. «unt. Mrs. Fugle gave two recitations. jp ß - Radlev read the report of the ra ma circle, after which members read » play.
