DIET VOTES £15,000,000 BIG LOAN FROM FRANCE FRIENDSHIP REAFFIRMED By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received January <>, 5.55 p.m.) WARSAW, Jan. 5 "Everybody rejoices at each new rifle that is placed in the hands of our soldiers," said Colonel Beck, Polish Foreign Minister, when Parliament approved a loan of £13,000,000 from France. A small portion of this sum is to he devoted to paying French creditors, fourfifths of the balance to purchase arms from France and one-fifth to equip armament plants in Poland. Colonel Hock argued that it was essential for a country which desired
peace to have the force necessary to ensure respect. The Diet voted a sum of £15,000,000 for armaments and fortifications. Colonel Beck reaffirmed the friendship between Poland and France.
