EDITOR'S RESIGNATION POSITION IN AMERICA BERLIN, Jan. 3 Horr Paul Scheffer, editor of the Berliner Tageblatt, has resigned and will go to America as the special correspondent of the newspaper. Herr Seheffor, who was born in 1883, received a university education at Geneva, M 'inicli and Marburg. He was the correspondent of the Berliner Tageblatt in Russia from 1921 to 192!), and in 1925-2G he travelled in China and Japan. He was the newspaper's correspondent at Washington from 1930 until his appointment to a similar position in London in 1932. He became the editor of the journal in 1933. He has published a book on his experiences in foreign countries.
