FIRE AT DAIRY FACTORY
discovery by camper#; BOILER HOUSE DAMAGED [rKOM OTTS OWX fit W ASK WORTH, Monday Fire at about 1-SO this morning burned out the toiler house and bunkeri at the Matakana Cc-operative Daixj Company's factory. Some eampen heard a crash and immediately notified the manager, Mr. A. P. Watson, *io found that coal in the bunkers had ignited and set fire to the boiler house, which is separated by a very small space from the main factory building. Assisted by the campers, Mr. Watson was able to use water from the pumpiog svstem to fight the fire, for luck3j the flames had not appreciably decreased the head oE steam in tin boilers. The fire was suppressed after about two hours. AH hough the boiler house and bunkers will hare to i» rebuilt, no damage was done to th« machinery and the work of the factory will not be affected.
