TREATY REVISION

AUSTRALIA AND CANADA MINISTER LEAVES VANCOUVER VANCOUVER, Jan. 1 The Canadian Minister of Trade and Commerce, Mr, W. D. Eulcr, before sailing for New Zealand and Australia, to-day stated that in the CanadianAustralian trade treaty the dissatisfaction was mostly on the other side. Canada had little to complain of except in regard to motor-cars and typewriters. A message from Canberra on July 9 stated that following repeated requests from the Commonwealth, tho Government of Canada had decided to send a trade mission to Australia in September to discuss a revision of tho existing trade treaty with Australia. This course was actuated by tho adverse trade balance, which is £3,000,000 in favour of Canada.
