35,700 DEATHS IN YEAR NEW YORK'S HEAVY LIST (Received January 1, 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 31 It was announced to-day that 35,708 persons, the largest number ever recorded, were killed in 1936 as a result of motor-car accidents in New York.
