THE AVERAGE EXCEEDED DECEMBER UNUSUALLY WET Although the total rainfall for the past year of 50.91 in. was about lOin. less than the total for 1935, it was well above the average. Official figures of the rainfall are not yet available, the figures given being based on records taken in the city by the Herald gauge. The rainfall for the past month of December totalled 3.31 in., which is nearly an inch more than the average for the month. The average rainfall for the past 80 years is 44.50 in.
