GOLF CHAMPION
Mclean a professional POSITION NEAR GLASGOW LONDON, Dec. 20 The Scottish golf champion, Jack McLean, has accepted a professional appointment with the Buchanan Castle Golf Club at Drymen, near Glasgow. McLean, who was born in Glasgow in February. 1911, early took up golf and in 1926 he won the West of Scotland Boys' Championship. On two occasions, in 1931 and 1933, he won the Glasgow amateur title, lie has been prominent in several other important British matches and in 1934 he carried off the Melbourne Centenary amateur championship. He has represented Scotland in international matches and played for Britain in 1934 against the United States, Australia and New Zealand. He has won the Scottish amateur title three times.
