ADMIRAL BYRO'S TRIBUTE [by tklecraph—owx correspondent] DUNEDIN, Thursday In a letter to Mr. R. S. Black Admiral Byrd states that he has learned with profound regret of the death of Dr. W. Potaka, who was associated with the last Antarctic expedition. Admiral Byrd intimated that he wished to have some flowers placed on Dr. Potaka's grave. He forwarded funds for the purpose and asked that the following inscription should be laid with the flowers: —'In memory of a gallant gentleman—the Byrd Antarctic Expedition. Bv Richard £<• Byrd."
