STEADY DOWNPOUR
RAIN AT INVERCARGILL RIVERS RUNNING HIGH [by telegraph—PßESS vssociation] INVERCARGILL, Monday Steady rain has fallen ic Invercargill and in most of tho province for more than 24 hours. It began on Sunday night, continued all day, and was still falling at midnight. The rivers are running high, but no reports have been received of roads being blocked. The weather is also very cold for mid-summer.
