MOTHERS' CLUB
SOCIAL EVENING HELD The Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. held a successful "break-up" social in the assembly hall on Saturday night. Mrs. W. J. Hynes presided. Artistic floral and lantern decorations, balloons and carnival hats added to the gaiety and provided a real Christmas atmosphere. The guests of honour were Mr. and Mrs. Hart and Miss Mona Lewis. On behalf of the club Mrs. Hyncs presented Mr. and Mrs. Hart with a gift in honour of their silver wedding, and Miss Lewis was the recipient of a gift in honour of iter approaching marriage. .Mrs. Mann and Mrs. Forrest were also presented with gifts, as was Mrs. H. Kasper, who will leave shortly for an overseas visit. Bouquets were presented to the officers, Mrs. Hynes, Mrs. Manson and Mrs. Raleigh, and to the members of the sewing circle. A programme was presented by the Misses Rona Edwards and Myra Hodge, Mr. Les. Williamson, Mr. Laird and a mouth organ band. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mr. and Mrs. F. Jury.
