RUSSIAN EXILE
MEXICO GRANTS ASYLUM LEON TROTSKY'S PETITION (Hocciveil December 7, 7.15 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, Dec. 7 Tho Foreign Secretary has announced that tho Russian exilo M. Trotsky will bo granted tho right of asylum in Mexico. A pressing petition was made recently for authorisation to come to tho country. A message from Oslo on November 24 stated that M. Trotsky, whoso permit to remain in Norway will expire on December 18 and will not bo renewed, had sent urgent messages to his friends abroad, urging them to do their utmost to obtain permission for him to proceed to another country.
