STAFF PICNIC HELD

KEMPTHORNE, PROSSER The annual picnic of the staff of Kempthorne, Prosser and Company's New Zealand Drug Company, Limited, was held on Saturday, when a largo party travelled to Tui (Hen. Although the weather was showery in the afternoon, there was a full programme of sports. The results wore:—Kempt home, Prosser handicap: P. C. Spitt-al, 1; E. Kemplay, 2. Employees' wives: Mrs. Co*, 1; Mrs. Trevena, 2. Committee men's race: B. J. Bishop, 1; E. Cox, 2. Bandsmen's race: Mr. Fulderco, J; Mr. Rafferty, 2. Stepping the chain: E. Gonlter, 1; G. Webber, 2. Married women's race: Mrs. Masfield, 1; Mrs. Grey, 2. Singlo women: Miss Firth, 1; Miss IJaire, 2. Old buffers' race: M. Glynn, t; J. Kindbeig, 2. Single moil's raco: M. Cunningham, 1; Mr. Symonds, 2. Men's race (10 to 50 years): A. Firth, 1; G. Love, 2. Baby show, girls: Mrs. Kemplay's baby. Boys: Mrs. Crowe's baby.
