TROUBLE ON FERRY
LABOURER FINED £2 "Accused made a nuisance of himself by roaming all round the dock, and I had occasion to speak to him for the way he addressed a lady passenger," said a witness in tho Police Court yes terday, when Hanry Casloy Nankervis. labourer, aged SG. was charged with being disorderly while drunk and using insulting language on board a Devonport ferry-boat on Saturday afternoon. Evidence was given that at about 3.'io 011 Saturday afternoon accused left his seat on the boat and, approaching an Italian musician who was playing a violin on tho deck, used insulting language to him about his nationality. The magistrate, Mr. Wyvcrn Wilson, imposed a fine of £1 on each charge, in default seven days' imprisonment. Time to pay tho fino was not allowed.
