FRIENDLY SETTLEMENT
ACTION FOR DAMAGES CASE IN SUPREME COURT [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLIXGTON. Monday An announcement that a settlement had been reached wa:. made by counsel in a Supreme Couit case in which I'. Graham and Son, Limited, contractors, of Christchurch, claimed damages from the Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, Limited, for alleged wrongful termination of contract.
Mr. James, for the Ford Company, said be was glad to inform the Court that since the adjournment of the case the plaintiff company had approached them with a view to obtaining a settlement, and no difficulty had been found in arriving at one mutually satisfactory. Mr. Hay, for plaintiffs, agreed that they had obtained a fair and reasonable settlement of the claim and wished to withdraw unreservedly all statements and imputations that had been made against the Ford Company of New Zealand in connection with the dispute, the settlement of which had been conducted in an entirely friendly manner.
