WRESTLING CONTEST

BLOMFI ELD BEATS SAVOLDI SUDDEN END TO MATCH [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION'] WELLINGTON, Monday A wrestling match between Lofty Blomfiekl and .Toe Savoldi to-night came to an unexpectedly early finish, Blomfield winning by two falls to one after half an hour in the ring. There was plenty of hard work in the two opening rounds, most of it permeated with showmanship. Although the crowd took it goodhumouredlv, there must have been much disappointment over the dramatic suddenness with which the contest ended. Savoldi took a fall early in the third round. Blomfiekl retaliated at the beginning of the fourth, and secured the winning fall early in the fifth round. Three falls in 4m 39s was the record established.
