INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP [by TKfiF.GIIArn —PIIKS9 association] WELLINGTON. Sunday Delegates representing Wellington, .Auckland and Canterbury attended the annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists' Association in Wellington. The president, Mr. A. K. Grace, of Auckland, presided. The annual report disclosed a large increase in tho membership of constituent unions. Applications for affiliation were received from Greymouth and Nelson, and it was reported that Taranaki was considering affiliation. An announcement was made that the results of the good journalism prize would 1)0 available shortly. It was decided to continue the competition. The conference decided unanimously that headquarters should be moved from Auckland, where the council had been situated for 11 years, to Wellington. Mr. G. Freeman, of Wellington, was elected president, and Mr. A. I'. Cameron, of Wellington, vice-president. Tim remaining members of tho council will be elected by the constituent unions.
