SPANIEL PARADE

RECORD ENTRIES FOR CLUB MANY PEDIGREE DOGS A record number of entries was received for the Auckland Spaniel Club's parade on Saturday afternoon at the residence of Mr. E. H. Potter, in Valley Koad, Mount Eden. A garden party was held after the parade. The number of pedigree spaniels on show was 35 and the total number of entries for the various classes, So. Mr. S. Saulbrey was judge. The best spaniel on parade was judged to be Athlone Lad, exhibited by Mrs. M. Hughes, find the best opposite sex was Mr. J. Darroch's Leamington lrixie. lhe special ribbons that wore awarded were excellently done, being hand-painted. A children's class proved very popular and each child received a giit, while a special ribbon went to the child winning the most votes. Following are the owners of the winning dogs:— Special Awards.—Best spaniel, Mrs. M. Hushes; best opposite sex, J. Darroch; best novice, W. 11. Brown; best novice exhibited by unvico owner, W. H. Brown; best puppy under six months, J. C. Westerman; best puppy six months and under nine, Christie and Naylor; best puppy, nine months and under 12, Christie and Naylor; best puppy oil parade, Christie and Naylor; best opposite sex, Christie and Naylor. *» Class Awards.—Dors: Puppy under ~»lx months, J.
