Three affiliated groups of tho British Drama League presented oneact plays in the parish hall recently. The Mummers presented the drama "The Bishop's Candlesticks," by Norman McKinnel, while the Home Players enacted the costume comedy "April Shower," by Philip Johnston. Another comedy, "The Green Monkey" (Victor Bridges), completed a most entertaining programme. Ladies present in tho audience included:—Mrs. Baker, Mrs. J. Tanner, Mrs. Darragh, Mrs. Wills, Mrs. Humphries, Mrs. Cross, Mrs H. P. Bryan, Mrs. P. Lumley, Mrs. Pattie, Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Trundle, Mrs. M. Coughlan, Mrs. Brough, Mrs. Butts, Mrs. M P. Munro, Mrs. E. S. Knowles, Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Meikle, Mrs. Dickenson, Mrs. Connor, Mrs. Pillans, Mrs. Rutland, Mrs. Burnett, Mrs. Smythe, Mrs. Gifford, 'Mrs. Harne. Miss Templer, Miss Baker, Miss G. Tait, Miss A. Bradmoro, Miss 1. Baker Miss Broad, Miss 'Judhope, Miss Barr (Wellington), Miss Darragh, Miss M. Coughlan, Miss Brough, Miss Bates. Miss Barr, of Wellington, who lias been the guest of Mrs. Johnson, 7th Avenue, Tauranga., has returned home. Mrs. E. Peck, of Tauranga, is visiting Stratford. Mrs B. C. Robbins, of Devonport Road," has returned to Tauranga from an extended visit* to Wellington. Mrs. Tynan Woollams, of Selwyn Street, Tauranga, is spending a holiday in Auckland. _ Mrs. J. B. MacDiarmul, of Devonport Road, Tauranga, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. P. Utting, of Auckland is the guest of Mrs. Coughlan, Elizabeth Street, Tauranga.
