DARGAVILLE INTERESTS
CHURCH FLOWER SHOW The summer flower show in aid of Holy Trinity Anglican Church was held recently in the parish hall, Dargaville. There was a very large number of entries in all sections and good business was done at the various stalls. Among those who helped to make the function so successful were: —Mrs. Montcith. Mrs. B. G. Smith. Mi's. J. Hayes, Mrs. Hilton, Mrs. Neilson, Mrs. Alderson, Mrs. Rix, Mrs. Pickard, Mrs. Brydon, Mrs. Harvey, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Ball, Mrs. Downey, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Hammond, Airs. W. Morris, Mrs. Pollock. Mrs. Stopher, Miss Todd, Miss Alderson, Miss M. Cuthbcrt, Miss J. Montgomery, Miss Hilliam, Miss Moid. " A very pleasant afternoon was held nt the residence of Mrs. S. Barker to farewell Mrs. C. Wykes, who has been secretary of the croquet club for some years. Several indoor competitions were enjoyed and after tea had been ser\ed the president, Mrs. S. Barker, on behalf of the club, presented Mrs. Wykes with a crvstal honey jar. Mrs. Alberta McLean, of Whangapoua, was the guest of Miss P. Harding. of Dargaville, for the week-end. Miss Kingsle.v has returned to Dargaville from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Roy Hume, of Dargaville, is at present visiting her mother, Mrs. F Howard, of Parnell, Auckland. Mrs. E. Harding, of Aoroa, has returned after touring Hawke's Bay. 'Miss Enid Coleman left Dargavi He during the week-end to spend a holiday in Hastings. „ T . T . Sirs Courtenay Biggs, of Wainoua Forest, is at present spending a holiday in Paihia.
