WAGES DISPUTE
PAINT MANUFACTURERS •Agreement 011 all points except wages for /idult males, holidays and payment lor Saturday work, was reached in Conciliation Council yesterday, when 'lie Auckland paint and varnish manufacturers met the union. Wages for youths were fixed at 15s a week at a commencing ago of 10, with higher rates for different ages, rising to £3 12s 6d, Females' wages were fixed at from 15s to £2 os a week. The points in dispute were referred to the Arbitration Court. -Mr. li. Sussex and Mr. W. E. Andersom appeared as assessors for tho employers and Mr. H. Campbell and Tk Q * or *b° workers, ihe conciliation commissioner, Mr. R. ■E. Price, presided.
