Young Actors Form Screen Boys' Club
The Screen Boys' Club, limited to 3'oungsters who have at least three motion picture roles to their credit, has been organised with Freddio Bartholomew, Jackie Cooper, Mickey Rooney, Bennic Bartlett, David Holt, Billie IjCC, Sherwood Bailey and Buster Slaven as charter members. .So far as is known, the organisation is the first of its kind in Hollywood, where there has never been a separate club for film children. The idea originated with Bartholomew, Cooper and Rooney and the hundred or more boys appearing with them in Metro-Gold wyn-Mayer'a " The Devil is a Sissy. 1 ' A motion to include girls in the organisation was voted down. Election of officers will bo the first business at the first official meeting, which will probably be hold at the home of the director, Rowland Brown, who is acting as a sort of godfather to the club. \ Age limit has been set at 16. Inasmuch as none of the charter members is more than 14, that gives any member at least two years in tho organisation.
