BEACH COTTAGE HINTS
This is the time of the year when ! owners of benoli huts and cottages begin to think about renovations and new decorations for the warmer days and happy week-ends which are not so very far away. Here are some excellent suggestions for a novel and most attractive decorative scheme. Seaweed a<ul seashells pattern alike the furnishings and wardrobe required for modern beach life. Seaweed brown, sanrl brown ami sail red can make an attractive beach-hut colour .scheme. A fitment is built along one side of the hut to form a lounge, with cupboards for fishing and bathing kit. There is a niche for newspapers and periodicals. Walls are painted a pale stone colour and fitments and frames of the double glass doors are a litile deeper shade, with seaweed-brown handles. The floor is covered with sand-coloured matting. Sailcloth in light rusty red is used for curtains and covers for the loono cushion on the seat and the bolster. _ The cushions are of natural linen appliqued with fish and ships. A cream pottery dish is filled with stones, shells and seaweed.
