CURTAILMENT LIKELY INTERNATIONAL SITUATION BRIEF STAY IN INDIA liy Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (.Received November 10, p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 10 The Morning Post's political correspondent says that owing to the rapid changes in the international situation the King's stay in India is likely to be limited to ten days, and His Majesty's absence from Britain is not expected to exceed a month. It was stated recently that King Kd ward's visit to India after his coronation would prevent his going to Canada in ID.')7. The British Government was discussing the possibility of visits to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and was considering the extent to which His .Majesty's absence from Britain was advisable. There was a probability, the message added, that the King would make a series ot Dominion visits which might begin with Canada, as the senior Dominion, in lP.'iS. The Daily Telegraph said the arrangements lor the King's tour of the Empire would bo discussed at the time of the coronation, when the claims of the Dominions would bo considered and dates arranged.
