In the B grade, Group 2, Bombay beat l'apariinu, 9—5. TAUPIRI V. HUNTLY [from our own correspondent] TAUPIRI, Monday The senior tennis match between Taupiri and Huntly was started at Taupiri, but wag curtailed on account of rain. Huntly won by 7 to (J, with one game unfinished. Details are as follows, with Taupiri players' names first: — Men's Singles.—Farrell lost to Kosoof; Button lost to Collins, f> —9; Lift beat Ruston, 9—B; Wilson beat Berry, o—4. Ladies' iSingles.—Mrs. Farrell beat Mrs. Berry, O —4; Mrs. Jackways beat Miss Kosoof, (}—s ; Miss Jackways beat Miss Yarrow, (i—l; Miss l'owell lost to Miss Hesketh, 3 —o. TE AWAMUTU, Monday The first matches for the president's badges, recently presented to the To Awamiitu Tennis t.'lub by Mr. V. dc (,'oek, were held on Saturday. The winners were:—Ladies' doui)les: Miss M. Crnickshiink and Miss N. .Miller; men's doubles, K. I<". Armstrong and .1. Dalton; comhined doubles, G. Fulton and Mrs. Kirk. In presenting the badges, the club rapfain, .Mr. A. Itos.s, expressed the thanks of the members lo the president and expressed the hope that the competitions would result in (he raising of the standard of the game of the younger members.
