NEW AMBULANCE BUILDING [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION"] DUNEDIN, Tuesday The public spirit of Mr. Samuel Saltzman, who has in 12 months donated £14,000 to humanitarian objects in Dunedin, is further demonstrated by the announcement that he will finance to the extent of £6500 the erection of a new building for the St. John Ambulance in the city. Mr. Saltzman's gifts comprise the following:—Greymouth Hospital, £1000; Dunedin Central Mission Children's Best Home. £1000; Dunedin Hospital, £1000; children's block at Oamaru Hospital, £1500; Waipiata Sanatorium, £3000; St. John Ambulance, Dunedin, £6500.
