MINISTER OF FINANCE

VISIT TO ENGLAND CIVIC FAREWELL ARRANGED A civic farewell is to be accorded the Minister of Finance, the TTon. W. Nash, in the City Council chamber on Monday night. The Minister will leave by the Aorangi for Vancouver on Tuesday, on his way to England. The usual meeting of the City Council fixed for Monday has been postponed until the following evening.

As the Town Hall will not' bo available on Monday for the farewell ceremony it has been decided to hold it in the eouneil chamber. However, it is anticipated that this chamber will not be sufficiently largo to accommodate all those who desire to attend and it has been arranged to open the concert chamber for the overflow. Loud speakers will be erected in the concert chamber so that those present will lie able to hear the speeches being niado in the council chamber.
