CROQUET SEASON

A large number of delegates attended the opening meeting of the 1936-1937 season held by the South Auckland Croquet Association in tho Toorak Hall, Hamilton, on Monday. The president, Mrs. L. Totman, presided, and tho following clubs were represented:—Hamilton, Claudclands, To Aroha, Morrinsvillo, Matamata, Hinuera, Otorohanga Central, Taupiri, Ngaruawahia, Waerenga, Tatuanni, Frankton Railway, To Awamutu, Whitiora and Frankton. The draw for the- cups, stars and buttons took place and resulted as follows:—Stars, Thames Club; buttons, Hamilton Club; Matamata Cup, Matamata Club; Thames Vallby Cup, Pacroa Club; King Country Cup( Te Awainutu Club; Bay of Plenty Cup, Opotiki Citizens' Club: Waikato Cup, Huntly Club; Bay of Plenty A Cup, Taneatua Club.
