CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY The open billiards championship was continued last evening in tho Vulcan parlours, when L. F. Holdsworth, the title-holder, defeated \V. Thompson. Thompson started well and, playing confidently, established a lead of 100 points. Up to this stage Holdsworth was playing off form, but he made runs of and 78. He continued to score freely and obtained a commanding lead. The final score was: —Holdsworth, 500; Thompson, 4v!o. The tournament will be continued on Tuesday evening, when R. Carrick will meet F. Hux.
