BRIDGE CONTESTS

PASCOE AND MEYER CUPS The eighth round of tho Pascoe Cup duplicate pairs tournament, held on Tuesday, attracted a large attendance at the Auckland Bridge Club. The North-South winners were Messrs. G. Cox and J A Cahill, while those for East-West wer# Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Mackenzie. Th.- winners of a duplicate tournament on hands prepared by Mr. L. J. Morgan, on which points were awarded for both bidding and play, were:—North-South, Messrs. L. McKillon and R MnNamara; East-West, M essrs. W. Watkins and W. J. Winn. The eighth round of tho Meyer Cup contest for duplicate pairs was played at Pritchard's Bridge Club Inst night. Winning pairs wore: —North-South, Messrs. Cahill and Purdie; East-West, Messrs. Lewis and Tizzard. Leading pairs to date are:—Messrs. Cahill and Purdie, 1; Dr. Bruce Mackenzie and Mr. Bruce Smith, 2.
