Singh, who was making his first appearance in New Zealand, gave a clever display, but tlio size of his opponent and the four stono ho was giving away in weight were too much of a handicap. Davis secured a fall with a press, following a dump, in tho second round, and Singh was awarded a penalty fall in the fourth round, when Davis porsisted in punching him while outside tho ropes. Singh submitted in the fifth round after receiving a rough handling. _ GEORGE DEFEATS PENGHEFF DULL BOUT IN CHRISTCHTTRCH [llY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CIiniSTOIIURCH, Thursday In a dull wrestling match to-night, George, lCst. 61b., defeated PenchefF, 15st. 51b., by two falls to one. George was too strong for his opponent. Ho gained a fall in the fourth round with a press, after an exchange of jolts and a series of dumps. PenchelF equalised in the fifth round, when George submitted to one of Pencliell's specialties, the short-arm scissors. The deciding fall was gained in the seventh round by George, with a press following a slam and dumps.
