CHILD BORN AT TOLEDO
FRANCO AS GODFATHER NAZI CONGRATULATES REBELS LONDON, Oct. 1 After a visit to the Alcazar, at Toledo, General Franco walked out carrying a baby born there. Holding up tho infant, ho said: "This is the symbol of Spain redeemed after a terrific struggle." The general asked permission to be godfather to tho baby, and added: "Let him be called 'Alcazar Regained.' " Herr Rudolf Hess, deputy-leader of the Gerfnan Nazi Party, telegraphed to General Franco: "The German National-Socialist Party sends its best wishes to the heroes of the Alcazar and to their liberators."
