NEW MERTON WARDEN

OXFORD COLLEGE POST SIR JOHN MILLS ADMITTED . (Received October 7, 0.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Oct. « Sir John N. Mills, Senior Research Fellow of Morton College, Oxford, was to-day admitted to tho wardenship of the college in succession to Mr* Thomas Bowman, who has retired after holding the office since 190;}.

Sir John has been a tutor at Morton since 1899. During the war he was a legal assistant to the Ministry of Munitions and later a solicitor to tho Ministry of Labour.

Mr. Thomas Bowman, the retiring warden, is well past his eightieth year. He graduated from Wadham College in 1873 with honours in mathematics. Prior to being admitted to th# wardenship he had been a Fellow, a Tutor and Dean of Morton College.
