THIRD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS AT HUNTLY [nv telegraph OWN correspondent] HUNTLY, Wednesday Preparations are well in hand for the accommodation of about 1000 Maoris at Waahi Pa to-morrow, for the celebration of the third anniversary of the coronation of the youthful Maori King, Koroki Te Wherowhero. A Isteady stream of traffic has been passing through Huntly on its way to the pa at Huntly West, and by mid-day tomorrow there should be great activity at the pa. A nlimber of large marquees have been erected on the grounds, and this evening cooking was in progress. The visiting Maoris at present at the pa are from the Kawhia district. The chief day of the celebrations will be Thursday, tho anniversary of the coronation. A Rugby football match has been arranged to be played on the Huntly Domain for the Coronation Shield between teams from the Waikato and North Auckland, the holders. It is understood that tho celebrations this year will not bo conducted on a very elaborate scale, although they will be of a suitable nature for the occasion. Dancing competitions will form part of ' tho entertainment on Friday, and the celebrations will conclude on Saturday.
