TAUPIRI DRAMATIC CLUB

The first of a series of entertainments to bo given by the Taupiri Dramatic Club, was held in the Taupiri Hall before a very appreciative audience. The proceeds of the afternoon wero in aid of a fund to purchase a new curtain for tho hall. J'he president of tho dramatic club, Mrs. W. Wnring, addressed the gathering, after which items were given by Miss A. Waring, Mrs. A. Smith, and Miss .1. Sowman. A play entitled "Little Glass Houses" was presented by Mesdames W. Waring, Farrington. H. Riddell, B. Bunn and S. A. Clarke. A competition was won by Miss A. Clarke. Afternoon tea was served bv members of tho club.
