PATIENT AWARDED DAMAGES [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday Damages amounting to £l6O have been awarded to Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who claimed £J3OO from the North Canterbury Hospital Board. Mrs. Thomas claimed that when she was a patient in the Christchurch Hospital she was severely burned through a hot-water bottle being placed on her thigh while she was unconscious. The board had paid £IOO into Court.
