HISTORICAL REDOUBT
PUBLIC RESERVE PROPOSED [BY TELEGRAPH —OWS CORRESPONDENT] TUAKAU, Tuesday The question of opening to the public the Alexandra redoubt, a relic of the Maori Wars at Tuakau, was discussed last evening at the meeting of the Tuakau Town Board. It was stated that the redoubt was overgrown, but beneath the fern and scrub the old trenches were particularly well preserved.
The board agreed to apply for labour mder relief work allocation to clear ind fence the redoubt and to make an sn trance for motor-cars.
