SHIPS FROM JAPAN

RESUMPTION OF SERVICES RENEWED TRADE PROSPECT TOKIO, Oct. 2 The Osaka Shosen Kaisha is reestablishing separate direct lines to Australia on October 25, with the Canberra Maru and Tokio Maru. A service to New Zealand will start on October i! 8 with the Sydney Maru, Melbourne Mam and Brisbane Maru. Officials of the line state that the decision to re-establish the service to Australia, is due to the anticipated agreement, at an early date, between Australia, and Japan. This will be followed, it is expected, by a resumption of 'trade relations. Owing to the trade dispute between Australia and Japan, direct sailings from Japan to New Zealand were discontinued in July. Australian and New Zealand ports were visited instead by the same vessels.
