PRELATE'S DEATH
ARCHBISHOP OF HOBART ROMAN CATHOLICS' LOSS SYDNEY, Oct. :5 The death has occurred in a private hospital hei-o of the Most Reverend Dr. William Hayden, fourth Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart, aged 67. The Most Reverend Dr. William Hayden was born near Kilkenny, in Ireland, in 1868. Educated locally and at the Propaganda College, in Home, he was ordained a priest in 1891. In 1918 Dr. Hayden became Bishop of Wilcannia-Forbes. He had been Archbishop of Hobart since 1930.
