WAIATA TENNIS CLUB

OPENING DAY DANCE The R.S.A. Hall, Royal Oak, was the scene of much gaiety when the Waiata Tennis Club held a dance on Saturday evening to celebrate the opening of their courts for the season. The hall was artistically decorated with arum lilies and bowls of Iceland poppies. Members of the committee present were: —Mrs. Rostance, wearing black satin; Airs. Richardson, silver and black tunic frock; Miss Kath. Buckland, amythest lace; Miss Colby, duck egg blue flat crepe; Miss Jackson, green spotted organdie; Miss L. Davies, pink lace. Among others present were:—Alesdames Rowley, Yuill, Haylock, Turner, Gibb, Wallace, Lamont, Ovenden, Sinclair, Carr, Pegler, Jarman, Craig, Pollard, Chambers, Hunter, Bai, Macintosh, Battley, Misses N. and A. Boesan, F. Buckland, E. King, Dunslord, Alalone.
