Keep the soil loose at the base of the sweet peas by constant hoeing or light forking. Keep the growths tied to supports. Climbers are now growing quickly. During the next two or three weeks violet runners may be planted for new beds. The Greenhouse Cuttingst of Ruellia macrantlia and other winter flowering plants may novj be inserted in sandy soil. Rex varieties of begonias can be increased by leaf cuttings inserted now. Sow the earliest batch of primulas for winter flowering in a compost of loam, leafsoil and sand. Pot on the tuberous begonias when they are sufficiently rooted.
