Poulsen Roses

New varieties of tho Poulsen roses are continually being introduced and some very fine seed lings have been raised in Germany. Van Ness, of a cherry red colour, is particularly fine, and our inimitable American friends dubbed this variety " Permanent Wave " by reason of its delightfully-crimped petals. Karen Poulsen will provide a brilliant show of colour when planted in the mass. Else and Kisten Poulsen are still good, but Anne Poulsen in my opinion is not so attractive. It is too large, and not what one would style pretty.
