Four Hours to Digest
For gastritis and indigestion the size of the meals should be watched. Large quantities of fluid weaken the digestive juices and prevent the solid food from being broken up and passed on to the bowel in the proper time. An ordinary dinner takes at least four hours to digest, so that a reasonable space should be allowed between meals.
